This EPSRC project brings together stereo imaging, 4D wave reconstruction, computer vision, and experimental validation to support maritime operators as they interpret approaching waves. The site will expand as papers, data, and supporting materials become public.
Project outputs
Data
Synthetic and processed wave-imaging data workflows supporting rendering, preparation, and analysis.
SWE Modelling
Shallow Water Equation modelling for beach-slope and obstruction wave scenarios.
Computer Vision
Multi-scale 4D reconstruction of sea surface using deep neural networks.
Vessel Simulation
Unmanned Surface Vessel (USV) Simulation under Wave-disturbance
Side View Wave Surface Detection
Detection of water wave surface from a side view footage of a wave tank.
Monocular vision and sea roughness
Exploring fractal sea-surface features for sea-state classification from monocular imagery.
